Cliff Coaster Express

Are you ready to ride the red rock barrels and get pitted? This moderate and flowy cliffside riding experience will introduce you to one of the largest red rock formations in Sedona, while keeping you enamored by its extraordinary terrain and unique features. The one-way riding experience offered for this adventure, allows you to tie together a mixture of downhills, massive slick rock areas, chunk washes, and areas to open it up and flow. 

The ride begins by skirting the side of Doe Mountain via Aerie Trail, where some dips and drops lead to a pin-ball downhill section that takes you side by side, before reaching a climatic series of drainage moguls. The next stage of your ride ascends Deadman’s (or woman’s) Pass, where rock gardens provide a bounty of fun uphill challenges to arrive at one of our favorite rides, the spectacular Mescal Trail. This section of trail will feel like a fine mixture riding on Mars and surfing under a sea of Red Rock as you scoot across the narrow cascading shelves of slickrock that extend for as far as the eye can see. 

After zipping through the later sections of Mescal Trail, you will then transfer to Chuckwagon Trail to complete your adventure. This bouncy and playful section of the trail will provide an abundance of quick turns and red rollers to keep you smiling into the last pedal stroke. This unique trail combination of trails, especially when done as a one-way ride, offers one of the best moderate flow rides in Sedona arguably some of the best views you can find in Red Rock Country on a bike.
