Chutes & Ladders Express

Are you ready for a flowy and showy to dippy and droppy adventure across the spectacular Dry Creek Area? This classic moderate riding adventure will provide an abundance of open slick rock areas, elevated perspectives, and fun downhills throughout. You will begin your ride by conquering several punchy rock washes and hairpin turns along the scenic Chuckwagon Trail. The mixture of exposed juniper roots, fin shaped trail rocks, and unexpected turns creates a deeply meditative riding experience despite the trails upper moderate level of difficulty. 

After passing several open slickrock areas, and at least four tourists asking you, “how do I get to Devils Bridge,” you will point somewhere behind you and then eventually reach the hidden local gem known as Anaconda Trail. This “mole-hill mountain” will provide superb views of Bear Mountain, Doe Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Mescal Mountain, Ursa Minor & Ursa Major Spires, Lookout Tower, Sacred Kachina Woman Spire, and many more incredible rock formations. The views in this section and notable solitude make this a truly exceptional riding area in Sedona. 

The backside of this mini-summit will provide some chundery slashing and thrashing, and hopefully without any crashing – to reach Cypress Trail. Through a twisting passage of tree gates, quicksand, and chunky washboards you will then rapidly ascend back to your origin via the Hilleous Maximus, thigh blaster path -- known as Girdner Trail. The trail later reconnects to Chuckwagon Trail to form an epic scenic loop ride you will never forget. With panoramic views throughout and really only one iPhone & selfie stick away from becoming an Instagram sensation, this path will start you where the influencers go, but quickly take you away from the masses, and into one of our local favorites for some of the best views in Red Rock Country.
